Lindsey McNaughton (Carmel, Indiana) went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs in game two as the University of Southern Indiana softball team swept Bellarmine University, 7-0 and 4-3, Saturday afternoon to improve its winning streak to seven games.
In game one, Grover (12-5) stifled Bellarmine's hitters, allowing just three base runners off a pair of singles and a walk.
USI (21-12, 5-3 GLVC) pounded out 11 hits in the first game and scored runs in the first, fourth, fifth, and sixth innings to breeze by the host Knights. Senior catcher
Angie Davis (Greenwood, Indiana) went 3-for-4 with a pair of RBIs. Junior second baseman
Audra Lindenschmidt (Evansville, Indiana) went 1-for-4 with two runs scored and a pair of RBIs.

Krista Nugent (Hurricane, Utah) all recorded an RBI in the victory.
In game two, McNaughton broke a scoreless tie with a two-run blast over the leftfield fence in the top of the second inning. She also had an RBI single that gave USI a 4-2 lead in the top of the third. Lindenschmidt also recorded an RBI in the third inning.
The Screaming Eagles had just six hits in the contests, their lowest total in the last 13 games.
McNaughton (9-7) picked up the victory, giving up three runs off seven hits, while recording a season-high 10 strikeouts. She caught a sharp line drive with two runners on base in the bottom of the seventh to end the game.
USI returns to action Sunday when it takes on defending GLVC Champion Northern Kentucky University in Highland Heights, Kentucky. NKU (22-12, 6-6 GLVC) split a doubleheader with Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Saturday.
