ST. LOUIS, Mo. — The University of Southern Indiana women's soccer team allowed a pair of second half goals in losing to the University of Missouri-St. Louis, 2-0, Friday evening in St. Louis, Missouri. USI falls to 4-10-0 overall and 2-8-0 GLVC, while UMSL goes to 9-5-1, 6-4-0 GLVC.
After a scoreless first half, the Riverwomen scored got onto the scoreboard six minutes into the second half. UMSL defender Rachel Lee scored the first goal of the game at 51:17. Lee's goal was followed five minutes later by midfielder Krisie Musenfechter's tally at 55:34 that sealed the victory.
The Riverwomen out shot the Screaming Eagles, 11-6, and had 9-2 lead in corner kicks.
The Eagles conclude the road trip noon Sunday at the University of Missouri-Rolla. USI returns to Strassweg Field for a final three-match homestand next week, beginning October 13 against Northern Kentucky University.
