OWENSBORO, Ky.—The University of Southern Indiana volleyball team swept Kentucky Wesleyan College 30-22, 30-21, 30-15 Tuesday night at the Woodward Health & Recreation Center.
Senior outside hitter
Chelse Doubler (Griffin, Indiana) and freshman outside hitter
Courtney Bealor (LaPorte, Indiana) led the Screaming Eagles with nine kills a piece, while senior right side hitter
Amanda Probst (Wheeler, Illinois) collected a match-high 15 digs as the libero.
USI (14-7, 6-4 GLVC) also got a .381 attacking percentage out of Doubler, who needs just nine more kills to reach 1,000 for her career.
Junior middle blocker
Molly Rahman (Ferdinand, Indiana) and freshman middle blocker
Ashley Henricks (Greenwood, Indiana) led USI with seven and six blocks, respectively, while Henricks chipped in six kills and a .364 attacking percentage. Freshman setter
Kathi Hindman (Carmel, Indiana) led USI with 28 assists.
The Eagles, which had 13 blocks and 12 service aces, held the Panthers (2-19, 0-9 GLVC) to a -.106 attacking clip. KWC was led by Meredith Krodel, who finished with six kills, and Natalie Hardesty, who tallied 11 digs.
USI returns home Friday when it hosts Lewis University at 7 p.m. The Eagles host the University of Wisconsin-Parkside at 2 p.m. Saturday.
