SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The University of Southern Indiana men's basketball team got back on track with a 69-65 victory over Drury University Thursday evening in Springfield, Missouri. USI, which is ranked ninth nationally, raises its record to 18-2 overall and 7-2 in the GLVC, while Drury falls to 9-6. 4-4 GLVC.

Marty Wise (New Orleans, Louisiana) hit a pair of free throws to give USI the final lead of the game, 67-65, with 1:04 to play. Junior forwardÂ
Geoff Van Winkle (Ferdinand, Indiana) sealed the victory with another pair of free throws with 10 seconds to play for the 69-65 final.
The game went back-and-forth in the second half with four ties and four lead changes. USI posted its largest leads of the game with two 10-point margins, 30-20 and 32-22, in the first half. The Eagles led at halftime, 34-27.
Eagles' senior forwardÂ
Chris Thompson (Starke, Florida) led the team with his ninth double-double of the year, scoring 26 points, 19 in the first half, and grabbing 10 rebounds. Wise followed Thompson in the scoring column with 13 points.
USI finishes the two-game road trip at Rockhurst University Saturday at 3 p.m. Rockhurst (6-9, 2-5 GLVC) won at home Thursday, defeating Kentucky Wesleyan College, 76-58.
