EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Southern Indiana men's soccer team dominated the University of Indianapolis, but lost 1-0 Friday evening at Strassweg Field. USI drops to 3-7-0 overall and 1-5-0 GLVC, while Indianapolis goes to 7-1-2 overall, 3-1-2 GLVC.
The Screaming Eagles could not muster a goal, despite out shooting the Greyhounds, 14-6. USI and Indianapolis also had four corner kicks each.
Indianapolis forward Nick Eddy scored the game's only goal at the 51:24 mark of the second half. Eddy put away his own rebound from about 10 yards out for the unassisted goal.
The Eagles finish the short two-match homestand Sunday when they host Saint Joseph's College at 2:30 p.m. SJC raised its record to 4-8-0 overall, 1-5-0 GLVC, with a 5-2 victory over Kentucky Wesleyan College in Owensboro, Kentucky, Friday afternoon.
