Southern Indiana (3-6-0, 1-4-0 GLVC): 0; Quincy (6-2-1, 3-1-0 GLVC): 1 (2 ot)

QUINCY, Ill. – The University of Southern Indiana men's soccer team lost a heartbreaker in double overtime, 1-0, at Quincy University Friday night. USI falls to 3-6-0 overall and 1-4-0 in the GLVC, while Quincy goes to 6-2-1 overall, 3-1-0 GLVC.

The Hawks recorded the game-winner with four minutes to play in the second 10-minute "sudden victory" overtime period. Quincy junior forward Brad Niemann scored off a pass by sophomore back Dan O'Leary at 106:01.

The match was even throughout. Quincy out shot the Screaming Eagles, 8-5, during regulation time, but had the only three shots by either team in the overtime periods.

The Eagles continue GLVC action Sunday against #2 Southern Illinois University Edwardsville looking to break their four-match losing streak. The match, scheduled for a 2:30 p.m. start, has been moved to Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, due to a problem with the playing surface at SIUE's Bob Guelker Field.
