PERRY PARK, Ky. – The University of Southern Indiana men's golf team finished second in the two-day Northern Kentucky Invitational Sunday and Monday in Perry Park, Kentucky. The Screaming Eagles placed second with a 592 (297-295) after 36-holes at the Perry Park Golf Course.
Northern Kentucky University won its home invitational, shooting a 573 (290-283).
USI sophomores
Blake Hilliard (Olney, Illinois) and
Rafe Walker (Henderson, Kentucky) led the Screaming Eagles by tying for fourth, each shooting a 143. Hilliard (69-74) had the Eagles' best round, shooting a 69 in the first round, while Walker (72-71) played in the tournament as an individual.
Sophomore
Nick Frazer (Evansville, Indiana) also posted a top 10 finish for the Eagles, tying for eighth overall and second on the team with a 147 (76-71).
The Eagles resume action Friday in the Kentucky Wesleyan Invitational at the Summit Country Club in Owensboro, Kentucky, and Saturday and Sunday in the USI versus University of Evansville in match play at Victoria National Golf Course in Newburgh, Indiana.
