HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The University of Southern Indiana women's soccer team was shutout on the road by #24 Northern Kentucky University Sunday afternoon in Highland Heights, Kentucky. USI has lost four straight since opening the year with a victory and is 1-4-0 overall and 0-2-0 GLVC.
NKU goes to 3-1-0 overall and 2-0-0 GLVC and has won eight straight over the Eagles since 1999.
USI was down 1-0 early in the match when the Norse scored just 16:12 into the match. After the intermission, NKU sealed the victory with a pair of goals, scoring at 57:28 and 65:43.
The Eagles will open the home half of the GLVC schedule September 16 when they host the University of Missouri-Rolla at 5 p.m. This will be the first time UMR will visit Strassweg Field as a member of the GLVC.
