EVANSVILLE, Ind.—The University of Southern Indiana volleyball team held off a game-three Saint Joseph's College rally to post its third straight sweep Friday night at the Physical Activities Center. The Screaming Eagles defeated the Pumas 30-21, 30-13, 33-31 to improve to 18-12 overall and 10-5 in the GLVC. SJC falls to 10-21 overall and 4-11 in the conference.
On the strength of six 
Emily Ryan (Batesville, Indiana) kills, the Eagles hit a blistering .385 in the first game to set the tone for the match. Ryan, a junior outside hitter, finished with a match-high 17 kills and 12 digs.
The Eagles held the Pumas to a negative .143 attacking percentage in the second game to grab a commanding 2-0 lead in the match and fought off a pair of game points in the third game to finish in straight sets. USI held the Pumas to an overall attacking percentage of .036, while the Eagles attacked at an overall .231 clip.
Senior middle blocker 
Laura Ellerbusch (Newburgh, Indiana), who will be honored prior to tomorrow's match as part of USI's Senior Day festivities, added 11 kills and 11 digs as well as a match-high four blocks, while sophomore setter 
Stephanie Wilson (Terre Haute, Indiana) finished with a match-high 41 assists.
USI finishes the regular season Saturday when it hosts the University of Indianapolis at 2 p.m. The Greyhounds were at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Friday night.
