QUINCY, Ill. – The University of Southern Indiana volleyball team defeated Quincy University, 3-0 (30-22, 30-23, 30-21) Saturday afternoon in Quincy, Illinois. USI raises its record to 17-12 overall and 9-5 in the GLVC, while Quincy falls to 4-19 overall, 2-14 GLVC.
Junior outside hitter
Emily Ryan (Batesville, Indiana) led the way for the Eagles, converting 11 of sophomore setter
Stephanie Wilson's (Terre Haute, Indiana) 31 assists to a kill. Ryan and Wilson also had two service aces each.
Senior middle blocker
Laura Ellerbusch (Newburgh, Indiana) led the Eagles' serving attack with three aces, while junior libero
Amanda Probst (Wheeler, Illinois) had a team-best 14 digs.
USI concludes the regular season next weekend with a pair of home matches. The Eagles start the final homestand of the year November 4 against the University of Indianapolis at 7 p.m. and conclude the home schedule November 5 against Saint Joseph's College at 2 p.m. The USI-SJC match on November 5 will be Senior Day for the Eagles.
