KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The University of Southern Indiana men's soccer team was shutout by Rockhurst University, 7-0, Friday evening in Kansas City, Kansas. USI falls to 5-9-0 overall and 3-6-0 GLVC, while Rockhurst goes to 10-3-1 overall, 8-2-1 GLVC.
The Hawks started the scoring in the first five minutes of the first half and led 3-0 by the intermission. Rockhurst proceeded to score another four goals in the second half for the 7-0 final.
USI will attempt to get back on track Sunday at Drury University. Kick-off is set for 2:30 p.m. The Eagles return to the friendly surroundings of Strassweg Field next weekend to host the University of Wisconsin-Parkside on October 21 and Lewis University on October 23.
