FLORENCE, Ala. – The University of Southern Indiana men's golf team completed the fall portion of the 2005-06 campaign with a fourth place showing in the University of North Alabama Classic at the Blackberry Trail Golf Course in Florence, Alabama. USI shot a two-round 593 (298-295) and tied a season-best with a 295-round on the second day.
North Alabama won the team title with a two-round 549 (272-277), 27 stroke under par.
USI sophomore
Blake Hilliard (Olney, Indiana) led the team with an eighth place finish, shooting an even par 144 (76-68). Hilliard's 68 in the second round was the best individual round by a USI player this fall.
Sophomores
Nick Frazer (Evansville, Indiana) and
Rafe Walker (Henderson, Kentucky) followed Hilliard by tying for 19th with both shooting a 150. Frazer shot 75 each round, while Walker shot a 76 in the first round and 74 in the second.
