Evansville, IN – The University of Southern Indiana women's soccer team posted its first win of the year by defeating Tiffin University, 1-0, in double-overtime at Strassweg Field Tuesday afternoon. USI raises its record to 1-3-0 overall, while Tiffin falls to 2-1-0 in 2004.

Katie Barisano (Newburgh, Indiana) scored the game-winner and her first collegiate goal at the 108:48 mark (1:12 to play) in the second overtime. Barisano received the ball halfway into Tiffin's half of the field and dribbled around two defenders before putting the ball into the back of the net.

Meagan Homolla (Portage, Indiana) posted her first career shutout. Homolla made five saves and faced a total of seven shots in the victory.
The Eagles return to action and to the road this weekend. USI plays McKendree College Friday at 4 p.m. in Lebanon, Illinois, and Missouri Baptist University Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Anheuser Bush Soccer Park in St. Louis, Missouri.
