EVANSVILLE, Ind.—The University of Southern Indiana women's soccer team defeated Kentucky Wesleyan College, 3-0, Friday night at Strassweg Field to snap a four-game losing streak and improve its record to 2-7-0 overall and 1-2-0 in the GLVC.
Freshman forward
Katie Grossman (Evansville, Indiana) scored on a feed from sophomore back
Meghan O'Rourke (Evansville, Indiana) in the 39th minute to give the Screaming Eagles all they would need.
Junior midfielder
Brooklyn Gant (Evansville, Indiana) scored her team-leading third goal of the season in the 51st minute of the contest to give the Eagles a 2-0 advantage, while freshman forward
Katy Ferguson (Indianapolis, Indiana) scored her first career goal in the 82nd minute to finish off the scoring. Gant had an assist in Ferguson's goal.
The Eagles will wrap up their four-game homestand Sunday when they host the University of Findlay at Strassweg Field. Kick-off is slated for 1:30 p.m.
