ASHLAND, OH – The University of Southern Indiana men's soccer team could not overcome a 2-0 deficit in falling, 2-1, to Ashland University Friday afternoon in Ashland, Ohio. USI falls to 1-3-1 overall in the 2004 campaign, while Ashland evens its record a 2-2-0.
The Ashland Eagles drew first blood with a goal at 28:48 and increased their lead just after halftime to 2-0 with a tally at 48:32.

Michael Dugger (Hanson, Kentucky). Dugger scored his team-leading third of goal of the year on a penalty kick after freshman forward
Andrew Bass (St. Peters, Missouri) was fouled in the penalty area.
The Screaming Eagles concluded their four-game road swing at Gannon University Sunday at noon (CDT) in Erie, Pennsylvania. USI returns to the familiar surroundings of Strassweg Field September 17 to open the GLVC schedule by hosting Quincy University at 5 p.m. The men's teams will play the opener of GLVC doubleheaders this year.
