One inning once again spelled doom for the University of Southern Indiana baseball team as it lost to 12th-ranked Augusta State University, 5-2, Tuesday afternoon in Augusta, Georgia. USI sees its record fall to 4-7 overall in 2004, while Augusta State goes to 13-3 on the young season.

USI concludes its spring road trip and the two-game series at Augusta State University Wednesday, March 10. Game time is 1:30 p.m. The Eagles return to the friendly confines of the USI Baseball Field Saturday and Sunday, March 13-14, to open the GLVC 40-game regular season schedule with Quincy University. The first pitch is scheduled for noon on both Saturday and Sunday.
