EVANSVILLE, Ind.—The University of Southern Indiana baseball team dropped to 4-12 overall and 0-4 in the GLVC after loosing both games a doubleheader with Quincy University Sunday at the USI Baseball Field. The Screaming Eagles fell in the first game 9-8, in extra innings, before falling 7-2 in game two of their scheduled doubleheader.
USI lost 10-8 in the second game of the four-game series prior to starting the doubleheader Sunday. That game was suspended due to darkness Saturday evening, with the eighth and ninth innings being played Sunday morning. The game was tied 7-7 when the game was suspended on Saturday.
Quincy improves to 12-8, 4-0 in the GLVC, with the four-game sweep.
The Eagles, who have lost 10 straight games, will host Bellarmine University in a doubleheader Wednesday, March 17. First pitch is slated for noon.
