EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Southern Indiana men's soccer team lost its 2004 home finale to the University of Missouri-Rolla, 1-0, Wednesday evening at Strassweg Field. USI falls to 2-14-1 overall, while UMR goes to 6-8-0 in 2004.
The Miners scored the games only goal at the 18:51 mark of the first half. Freshman forward Dan Gravlin put away the game winner off a pass from sophomore back Derek Pelate.
USI had several chances to even the score in the second half, out shooting the Miners 14-10 in the match. The Eagles also had seven shots on goal in the contest, compared to just three for UMR.
The Eagles will conclude the 2004 campaign with a GLVC match Saturday at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Match time is noon.
