The University of Southern Indiana women's soccer team was out-gunned by the #2-ranked and defending NCAA Division II National Champion Christian Brothers University, 8-0, Saturday afternoon in Memphis, Tennessee. USI falls to 3-2-0 overall, while CBU goes to 3-0-1.
USI was able to hang with the Buccaneers in the first half and trailed only by two at halftime. CBU's offense exploded in the second half for six goals against the Screaming Eagles defense.
The next action for the Eagles will be the GLVC opener when they host the University of Wisconsin-Parkside Friday, September 19, at Strassweg Field. The match, which will be the first half of men's and women's doubleheader, kickoff at 5 p.m.
