The University of Southern Indiana softball team's final stop on its 2003 spring road trip was rained out Saturday afternoon. The Screaming Eagles were slated to play nationally-ranked Alabama-Huntsville (14th), St. Cloud State (21st), and Columbus State (22nd) in the final day of the Columbus State University Invitational in Columbus, Georgia.

USI finishes its spring road trip with a 2-7 record after playing five nationally-ranked teams in its final six games.

The Eagles will visit Oakland City University this Tuesday, March 18, for a doubleheader. First-pitch is slated for 3:30 p.m. USI opens GLVC play with a doubleheader at 16th-ranked Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Saturday, March 22, before opening up its home schedule the following day against the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
