AUGUSTA, Ga. -- After scoring nine runs in an extra inning loss Monday night, the University of Southern Indiana baseball team was only able to generate six hits and one run in a 9-1 loss at Augusta State University Tuesday afternoon in Augusta Georgia. USI drops its fourth in a row and falls to 5-6 overall, while Augusta State goes to 13-11 overall in 2003.

Drew Neel (Newburgh, Indiana) had his toughest outing of the spring, allowing nine hits and eight runs, six earned, in seven innings. Neel falls to 2-1 for the spring. Augusta right-hander Justin Walker stymied USI hitters for seven innings, collecting seven strikeouts and the win to raise his record to 3-0.
The Eagles and the Jaguars will match-up again Wednesday, March 12, in Augusta. Game time is 1:30 p.m. (CT). USI will finish its spring road trip with a pair of single games at Presbyterian College Thursday and Friday, March 13-14, in Clinton, South Carolina. The Eagles return home to host Indiana University Southeast in a rescheduled non-conference game Monday, March 17, at the USI Baseball Field. Game time Monday is 2 p.m.
