The 21st-ranked University of Southern Indiana soccer team exploded for three goals in the final 20 minutes to record a 3-0 road victory over Kentucky Wesleyan College Sunday afternoon in Owensboro, Kentucky. USI raises its record to 8-4-0 overall and a perfect 7-0-0 in the GLVC, while KWC falls to 1-10-1 overall, 0-6-1 GLVC.

Today's USI victory sets up a showdown of unbeaten teams in the GLVC next weekend when USI travels to Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Friday, October 17, at 7:30 p.m. SIUE defeated University of Indianapolis, 1-0, and is 6-0-0 in the league. That match could be a major step in determining which team will receive a bye and the right to host the GLVC Tournament semifinals and championship match. The GLVC Tournament is scheduled to begin with the first round on November 2, the semifinals on November 7, and the championship match on November 9.
