The University of Southern Indiana women's soccer team set itself up for the Great Lakes Valley Conference schedule finale on Sunday with a 3-0 victory over Saint Joseph's College Saturday afternoon at Strassweg Field. USI goes to 8-8-1 overall and 3-6-0 in the GLVC, while SJC goes 7-8-1 overall, 3-4-1 GLVC.
The Screaming Eagles will play the University of Indianapolis Sunday, October 27, for the right to play in the GLVC Tournament, which begins Sunday, November 3. Both teams are 3-6-0 in the GLVC and want the eighth and final spot in the league tournament. Match time on Sunday is 2:30 p.m.
USI had three different players contribute to the scoring in Saturday's victory. Senior midfielder
Jenny Wessel (St. Louis, Missouri) started the scoring with the game-winner at 21:18 off the rebound of a shot by sophomore midfielder
Courtney Reeder (Carbondale, Illinois). The goal was the first goal of the year for Wessel.

Lisa Stucki (Evansville, Indiana) gave USI a 2-0 lead at halftime with a direct kick goal at 30:18. Stucki also picked up her first goal of the year, booting the ball over the goalkeeper from about 30 yards.
The Eagles put the game out of reach in the second on the seventh goal of the year by freshman forward
Alisann Shetler (Evansville, Indiana). Shetler scored off her own rebound in front of the SJC net at 59:04.
Defensively, USI limited SJC to five shots, only two on goal. Senior goalkeeper
Aude de La Salle (France) made two saves to preserve her third shutout of the season.
Prior to 2:30 p.m. USI-Indianapolis match on Sunday, the Eagles will honor its seven seniors during Senior Day. Playing their final GLVC match on Strassweg Field will be Wessel, de La Salle, senior forward
