USI men’s soccer makes it an 0-2 road trip

University of Southern Indiana (8-7-0, 5-3-0 GLVC ): 1 @University of Wisconsin-Parkside (9-4-1, 4-3-1 GLVC): 2

The University of Southern Indiana men's soccer team took an early lead, but allowed two unanswered goals in a 2-1 loss to the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Sunday afternoon. USI goes to 8-7-0 overall and 5-3-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, while UWP goes to 9-4-1, 4-3-1 GLVC.

The Screaming Eagles' early 1-0 lead came on an unassisted goal by senior midfielder John Havill (Washington, Indiana) at the 15:15 mark. The unassisted tally was the fifth of the season for Havill.

After Havill's goal it was all UWP. The Rangers scored the tying goal at 24:43 and sent both the teams into halftime tied at 1-1. UWP got the game winner 15 minutes into the second half at 60:15.

The Eagles, who were 0-2-0 during the road trip, will have a chance to regroup by finishing the regular season with three straight home games. USI will host Saint Joseph's College Friday, October 25 the University of Indianapolis Sunday, October 27 and McKendree College Wednesday, October 30.
