Stuckman goes for 30 as Eagles pull away from Huskies in regional showdown

Sophomore forward Jessica Stuckman (Quincy, Illinois) went eight-of-eight from the charity stripe en route to a game-high 30 points as the University of Southern Indiana women's basketball recorded a 95-79 victory over Great Lakes Regional foe Michigan Tech University this evening at the Physical Activities Center. It is the second consecutive game that Stuckman has scored at least 30 points.

Up by two with six minutes remaining in the game, the Screaming Eagles reeled off a 17-point run over the next five minutes to give them a comfortable 93-74 lead with 1:17 to go in the contest.

Senior guard Jasmine Moore (Chicago, Illinois) recorded 19 points and four assists while fellow classmate Michelle Irwin (Louisville, Kentucky) added 12 points and a game-high nine rebounds. Junior forward Sarah McIntosh (Cabery, Illinois) tapped in with 10 points to round out the double-digit scoring performances for the Eagles.

USI will open conference play this Saturday, November 24, at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, in a 1 p.m. tip-off. The Eagles will complete their two game road trip a week from tonight as they travel to Quincy, Illinois, to take on Quincy University in a 5:15 p.m. tip-off.
