Payton Buse '25 joined USI Athletics in September 2026 as Assistant Director of Athletic Communication, assisting with the production of USI’s ESPN+ broadcasts, creating Liberty Arena audio/visual content, and providing other creative services for USI Athletics and Liberty Arena. Buse also serves as the primary media contact for USI Swimming and Diving.

Buse, a USI alum, returns to the Screaming Eagles after spending over a year as the Technical Director for Purple Aces Productions and ESPN+ within the University of Evansville athletics department.

While finishing his undergraduate degree at USI, Buse spent three years as the Sports Director at 95.7 The Spin FM. He also serves as a freelance broadcaster for local high school and collegiate sports. 

The Lynnville, Indiana, native graduated from the University of Southern Indiana in 2025 with a bachelor's degree in sport management and minors in sport communications and radio/television.
