Laura Heline was named Head Athletic Trainer in 2019 after an eight-year stint as the Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Screaming Eagles.
Prior to coming to USI, Heline worked with numerous sports during a clinical rotation while working on her graduate degree at the University of Findlay, including basketball, football, soccer, tennis, volleyball, and wrestling. A native of South Bend, Indiana, Heline competed in soccer and softball during her four-year collegiate career at Saint Mary’s College (Indiana).
In addition to her work at Findlay, Heline has worked in a clinical setting at Star Physical Therapy (Tiffin, Ohio) as well as with high school athletes at Fostoria High School (Fostoria, Ohio) and at the Memorial Sports Medicine Institute in South Bend.
Heline earned a master’s degree in Athletic Training from Findlay in May 2011 and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Saint Mary’s in May 2007.
