Justin Ahlbrand ’13 M’17 was named the Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities and Operations in 2025. His primary responsibilities include providing operational and administrative oversight for all athletic facilities, including the Screaming Eagles Complex/Arena, baseball field, softball field, soccer field, tennis courts, and Aquatic Center. He oversees all care, maintenance, set up/tear down, and scheduling of all athletic facilities on campus.
Ahlbrand serves as the game administrator for all volleyball and men’s/women’s basketball games. He is also the sport supervisor for Men's Soccer, Men's/Women's Tennis, and Men's/Women's Cross Country and Track and Field
Prior to his promotion in 2025, Ahlbrand served as the Director of Athletic Facilities & Operations since 2021 and was the facility supervisor of Screaming Eagles Complex, formerly known as the Physical Activities Center (PAC), and USI’s athletic equipment since he joined USI Athletics in 2014. He has also been an adjunct instructor in Kinesiology & Sport at USI since 2017.
A life-long Screaming Eagle, Ahlbrand earned his bachelor’s degree in sport management and business administration in 2013 and a master’s degree in sport management in 2017. During his undergraduate tenure, Ahlbrand was a pitcher on the USI baseball team and a member of the athletic department’s student staff.
Ahlbrand and his wife, Amanda, reside in Evansville and have a daughter, Nora, and son, Beau.
