Juan Calderon arrived at USI in June 2026 and is the primary athletic trainer for USI Men's Soccer and Baseball.
Calderon came to USI with six years of athletic training experience. He started his career in sports medicine as an athletic training intern at Austin Peay State University in 2021-22. Calderon then joined the athletic training staff at Oakland City University, serving as the assistant athletic trainer in 2022-23 before moving into the head athletic trainer role from 2023-26.
Calderon earned his bachelor's degree in exercise science from the University of Tennessee at Martin before receiving his master's degree in athletic training at the University of Evansville.
