Assistant Coach Mike Landy enters his third season with the University of Southern Indiana men’s and women’s cross country/track & field programs.
Landy, who joined the Screaming Eagles in the spring of 2013, assists Head Coach Mike Hillyard in all aspects of the cross country/track & field programs.
A graduate of Great Lakes Valley Conference foe University of Indianapolis, Landy was an assistant coach at Warren Central High School in Indianapolis from 2011-12. He served as a graduate assistant for UIndy during the Greyhounds’ GLVC championship runs in men’s indoor track & field as well as men’s and women’s outdoor track & field in 2011.
Prior to serving as a graduate assistant at UIndy, Landy was an intern in 2010 for the Indianapolis Professional Track Club, the Indiana Invaders.
Landy was a two-time All-GLVC performer during his collegiate career at UIndy. He won the 1,500 meters at the 2009 GLVC Outdoor Championships and helped the Greyhounds to GLVC Indoor and Outdoor titles in 2010.
A school-record holder in the distance medley relay at UIndy, Landy earned his bachelor’s degree in math and math education from UIndy in 2009 and his master’s degree in business administration from UIndy in 2012. Landy is a USATF Level I Certified Coach.
