Kara Sergesketter '07 enters her second season as a member of the USI women's soccer coaching staff, assisting Head Coach Krissy Engelbrecht.

Sergesketter joins the USI staff in 2009 with coaching experience at the club and junior high school level. She has coached the Evansville Lady Blitz (2004-05), the Evansville Elite (2006-07), and Castle Junior High School (2007-08), in addition to being employed as personal trainer at Bob's Gym.

Sergesketter played four seasons with the Screaming Eagles before joining the coaching ranks and was a second generation USI student athlete, following in her mother's (Patty Marcum) footsteps. She played in 66 matches for the Eagles, making 46 starts, while recording 15 points on three goals and nine assists. 

The Evansville, Indiana, native and graduate of Reitz High School, earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science in 2007. She and her husband Dustin reside in Newburgh, Indiana.
