Stephanie Gehlhausen '12 begins her fifth season as an assistant with the University of Southern Indiana women’s basketball coaching staff.

Gehlhausen played in 49 games during her two seasons in a USI uniform, earning Academic All-Great Lakes Valley Conference honors in 2010-11 after starting 20 games for the Screaming Eagles.

A co-captain during her senior year, Gehlhausen was one of 11 USI student athletes to earn the GLVC Council of Presidents Academic Excellence Award in 2010-11.

Prior to USI, Gehlhausen began her playing career at the University of Alabama-Huntsville. She averaged 5.0 points and 4.7 rebounds in 56 games for the Chargers.

A native of Newburgh, Indiana, and a graduate of Castle High School, Gehlhausen helped lead USI to the NCAA II Tournament as a junior in 2010. She graduated from USI in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology.
