Biography

2001: Named academic All-GLVC for third straight year…Hit a career-high four home runs and drove in 20 runs…recorded a .258 batting average…Has played in 1,114.1 innings out of a possible 1,124.2 in her career…Has started every game in her career (158)…Tied for fourth all-time at USI with five career home runs. 

2000: Name academic All-GLVC for second consecutive season…Hit .260 and drove in 20 runs…Started all 53 games for the Eagles as a sophomore. 

1999: Named academic All-GLVC…One of the best freshmen in the conference in 1999, batting .294 with 19 RBIs and eight doubles…Started all 52 games for the Eagles as a freshman. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Named Most Valuable Player and second team All-State her senior year at Castle High School…Named first team Academic All-State in 1997…All-Conference selection her senior year at Castle High School. 

PERSONAL: Her father, Craig Blackford, played professional football for the Denver Broncos.
