Kelcey Carrasco

Kelcey Carrasco starts her second year as a graduate assistant with the University of Southern Indiana Softball coaching staff in 2023 after a successful collegiate playing career that included stops at Fresno State University and Michigan State University. Carrasco works primarily with USI's catchers and hitters.

In her first season with the Screaming Eagles, she helped accumulate NFCA Midwest Region Coaching Staff of the Year honors with Head Coach Sue Kunkle and Assistant Coaches MacKenzi Dorsam and Emily Goodin.

She was a two-time Academic All-Mountain West honoree at Fresno State and an NFCA second-team All-Region honoree as a freshman at Michigan State during her playing career.

At Michigan State, Carrasco set the program's freshman record when she hit 11 home runs, good enough for ninth in the Big Ten. She hit a combined .310 with 17 home runs and 73 RBI during her two seasons with the Spartans before transferring to Fresno State, where she hit .280 with a 12 home runs and 56 RBI from 2019-21.

She hit .329 with six home runs and 26 RBI as a senior in 2021 and started 27 games before suffering a season-ending injury. Her performance, however, helped lead the Bulldogs to the 2021 Mountain West title.

A native of Woodlake, California, Carrasco graduated from Fresno State in May 2021 with a degree in communications. She is currently working on her master's degree in sport management.
