Buckler, who received his USATF Level 1 certification in June, is a former NCAA Division I student athlete, having played football and participated on the track and field team at Miami.
In addition to his coaching duties, Buckler also teaches in the Department of Kinesiology and Sport at USI. He was elected to the USA Track & Field Indiana Board of Directors in September of 2013.
Since graduating from Miami in 2001 with his bachelor’s degree in marketing and physical education, Buckler has gone on to earn a Juris Doctor degree from Marquette University Law School and a master’s degree in sport management from the University of Alabama.
A native of Connersville, Indiana, Buckler has worked with the athletic teams at Marquette and Alabama. Buckler and his wife Ami have one son, Paden. They reside in Evansville, Indiana, where Buckler continues to work in the area of sport law.
