Assistant Coach Scott Kern begins his second season with the University of Southern Indiana cross country/track and field coaching staff after competing for the Screaming Eagles from 2008-11.
Kern posted a pair of top-40 finishes at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Cross Country Championships during his time in a USI uniform. He also posted a pair of top-10 finishes in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the GLVC Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
A native of Evansville, Indiana, Kern is currently pursing his bachelor’s degree in physical education (teaching).
