2015: Won four of his last five starts to finish the year 5-4 in 10 games and nine starts on the mound...had 3.71 ERA and 48 strikeouts in 63 innings of work...struck out a career-high 10 batters versus Saint Joseph's College.

2014: Saw action in 11 games and made a pair of starts in his first full season...had a 1-1 record and a 4.68 ERA in 25 innings of work...earned the save in the win over the Univesity of Evansville...struck out a season-high five Bellarmine University batters.  

2013: Redshirted.

TRANSFER: Transferred to USI from Wabash Valley Junior College...posted a 1-0 record and a 6.75 ERA in 10 appearances for WVC...also struck out eight batters in eight innings of work.

HIGH SCHOOL: Four-time letter winner in baseball at Castle High School (Newburgh, Indiana)...team captain and Most Valuable Player as a senior at CHS...also named first-team All-Conference...helped lead CHS to the IHSAA Semi-State finals in 2009.

PERSONAL: Son of John and Doris Nichols...brother of former USI hurler Matt Nichols.
