HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in basketball and golf at Southeast High School (Springfield, Illinois) finished his prep career as the Central State Eight Conference Male Athlete of the Year...named Illinois Basketball Coaches Association (IBCA) second-team All-State and CS8 Player of the Year in 2009 after leading the conference in scoring with 22.3 points per game...The
Springfield State Journal-Register first-team All-CS8 selection started 106 of his 111 high school contests and finished his SEHS career with 17.5 points, 2.2 assists, and 2.5 steals per game...also concluded his tenure at SEHS by leading the Spartans to the basketball team’s first CS8 championship and set the all-time record with 1,941 career points.
