2010-11: Earned Academic All-GLVC honors for the second straight year...battled through injury to play in 20 games during her junior year...averaged 2.8 points and 2.2 rebounds per contest...recorded her first double-double in a USI uniform when she scored a season-best 10 points and pulled down a season-high 11 rebounds in USI's 72-56 win over Missouri-St. Louis...matched a career-high two steals twice and had a career-best two blocks in USI's GLVC East Division title clinching win over Bellarmine.

2009-10: Earned Academic All-GLVC honors...played in of USI's 31 games, making four starts in her first season at USI...averaged 7.0 points and 4.0 rebounds per game as a sophomore...had at least 10 points in eight contests and reached double-digits in rebounding once...scored a season-best 19 points against North Alabama and pulled down a season-high 14 rebounds against Fort Lewis...dished out a season-best two assists three times and had a season-high two steals against Maryville.

TRANSFER: Comes to USI from Kankakee Community College where she averaged 9.6 points and 8.0 rebounds as a freshman in 2007-08...earned first-team NJCAA II All-Region IV honors during her freshman season after helping KCC to a 30-3 record and the NJCAA II National Championship game...averaged 14.7 points and 10.0 rebounds in three games in 2008-09 before injury cut her season short.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Morton High School (Morton, Illinois) where she lettered in basketball and track...helped Morton to a fourth-place finish in the Illinois Class AA State Tournament in 2006-07...earned honorable mention All-State honors as a senior in 2006-07 and was a two-time second-team All-Conference selection.

PERSONAL: Born January 27, 1989...daughter of Rick and Dee Mertens.
