2012: Redshirted. 

HIGH SCHOOL:  Lettered in baseball and basketball at South Spencer High School (Rockport, Indiana)…batted .469 with 25 RBIs, 38 runs scored, 13 doubles, two triples,and six home runs during the SSHS run to the Indiana Class 2A state championship in 2011...named to the All-PAC and All-Southwestern Indiana squads...had a hit, a run scored, and a RBI in the championship game...named All-Pocket Athletic Conference as a junior after hitting .451 with four home runs…batted .372 in 2009 and .400 in 2008.

SUMMER BASEBALL: Hit .425 with seven home runs in 2011 for Rockport American Legion.

PERSONAL: Son of Lanny and Susanne Wead.
