HIGH SCHOOL: Named honorable mention All-State after hitting .469 and driving in 30 RBIs as a senior at South Spencer High School (Rockport, Indiana)...also named All-Southwestern Indiana and  All-Conference...helped lead the Rebels to the 2A baseball state championship in 2011...lettered in basketball and football, in addition to baseball.

PERSONAL: Son of Cheryl Lauer.
