Biography

2024: Batted a career-high .298 with 31 runs scored, seven doubles, eight home runs, and 32 RBIs in 38 games, 36 starts...tied a career-high three hits five times and four RBIs at Morehead State University...finished his career ranked 18th in slugging percentage (.447)...batted .260 over two season in 81 games and 74 starts...also had 58 total RBIs and 12 home runs. 

2023: Appeared in 43 games, making 38 starts...batted .221 with 26 runs scored and 26 RBIs...hit four home runs, including his first in the win over Southeast Missouri State University...had a season-high three hits versus Oakland University and four RBIs versus Oakland and at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville...had seven multi-hit and six multi-RBI games.

TRANSFER: Transferred to USI from Campbell University after one season...appeared in seven games off the bench, batting .375 in eight at-bats…also played one season at John A. Logan College, hitting .342 with six home runs in 79 career at-bats at John A. Logan.

HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in baseball at Jeffersonville...was a two-time All-Conference player and twice named honorable mention All-State...helped lead Jeffersonville win four conference titles and two sectional championships…batted .398 with seven home runs, seven doubles and 35 RBIs during his senior season…batted above .360 all three years of varsity baseball. 

PERSONAL: Son of Derek and Jennifer Ellis…his brother Drew played baseball at the University of Louisville and is currently in the Arizona Diamondbacks organization, while his brother Ian played baseball at Kentucky Wesleyan College.
