Chris Marx is in his fifth season with Head Coach Tracy Archuleta and the USI baseball program. He is the hitting coach and recruiting coordinator.

As the Eagles hitting instructor, USI set the single-season record for home runs two of the last three seasons. The Eagles also set records for hits, doubles, RBIs, and runs scored in 2010. 

Prior to joining the USI staff, Marx began his coaching career as the head coach of the Indiana Yankees, a U17 select travel team and as an assistant coach for the Dubois County Bombers of the Central Illinois Collegiate League. The Bombers won the CICL league and tournament championships in 2007.

As a collegiate player, Marx played for Olney Central Community College and Ouachita Baptist University. He helped Ouachita Baptist to 50 wins and a number one national ranking in 2007.

Marx graduated from USI in 2008 with a degree in health services.
