(December 17, 2009) The University of Southern Indiana men's basketball team has ascended to 11th in the latest NABC/Division II Top 25 poll after winning its first nine games of the 2009-10 season. A big reason why the Screaming Eagles have been so successful has been the play of junior forward Nick Duncheon.
Duncheon, in his third season with the USI men's basketball program, scored a career-high 21 points this past Monday in USI's 105-64 victory over Midwest Region foe Lake Erie College. The finance and marketing major went 8-of-9 from the field and a perfect 5-of-5 from behind the arc as the Eagles improved to 9-0 on the season.
USI, which is 2-0 in GLVC play, returns to action Saturday when it hosts Urbana University at 3:15 p.m. at the Physical Activities Center.
