OVERALL
Is a combined four-time All-American in cross country and outdoor track...is a two-time All-American in cross country...is a combined 12-time All-GLVC honoree, three-time GLVC Freshman of the Year, and seven-time All-Midwest Region honoree...was the USTFCCCA Midwest Region Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year in 2011 and in 2012...was the ONB/USI Male Student-Athlete of the Year in 2012...is USI's record-holder in the 10,000 meters and ranks third all-time at USI in both the indoor and outdoor 5,000 meters.

2011-12
CROSS COUNTRY:
Battled through injury to earn All-GLVC honors for the fourth straight year and All-Midwest Region accolades for the third consecutive season...finished 10th at the GLVC Championships and was 13th at the NCAA II Midwest Region Championships...placed 55th at the NCAA II National Championships...earned Academic All-GLVC honors after competing in five meets. INDOOR TRACK: Earned first-team All-GLVC honors after accounting for 28 points at the GLVC Championships...won the 3,000 meters and the 5,000 meters at the league meet while helping the Eagles to a second-place showing in the distance medley relay...had three provisional qualifying times in the 5,000 meters and was a late invitee to the NCAA II Championships, though due to schedule conflicts he could not make it...also competed once in the mile early in the season. OUTDOOR TRACK: Was the USTFCCCA Midwest Region Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year after breaking his own school-record and setting an NCAA II automatic qualifying time in the 10,000 meters...ranked second in the nation and eighth all-time in Division II with his USA Olympic Trials "B" qualifying time of 28:33.35 in the 10,000 meters...earned All-America honors in the 10,000 meters after finishing sixth in the event at the NCAA II Championships...also finished 10th in the 5,000 meters at the national meet...earned All-Midwest Region honors in the 5,000 meters and the 10,000 meters...also earned first-team All-GLVC honors as well as Academic All-GLVC honors after winning the 5,000 meters at the GLVC Championships.

CROSS COUNTRY:
Earned All-America honors for the second consecutive season after finishing 28th at the NCAA II National Championships...earned All-Midwest Region accolades with his fifth-place finish at the NCAA II Midwest Region Championships and All-GLVC honors with his second-place showing at the GLVC Championships...was USI's top finisher in all six meets...finished first at the Fast Cats Classic and had four top-10 finishes. INDOOR TRACK: Earned first-team All-GLVC honors after helping USI's distance medley relay team to a first-place finish at the GLVC Championships...finished second in the 3,000 meters at the GLVC Championships...also was USI's top 5,000-meter runner during the indoor season...was twice named the GLVC Track Athlete of the Week. OUTDOOR TRACK: Earned All-America honors in the 10,000 meters after finishing seventh in the event at the NCAA II Championships...was named the USTFCCCA Midwest Region Track Athlete of the Year after breaking Elly Rono's 13-year old school-record in the 10,000 meters at the Mt. SAC Relays...Emerick's time of 28:41.62 was, at the time, the ninth fastest-mark in NCAA Division II history and among the world leaders...his 10,000-meter mark end the year ranked second in the nation and 10th in D-II history...earned All-Midwest Region honors in both the 5,000 meters and the 10,000 meters...was ninth in the 5,000 meters at the NCAA II Championships...earned first-team All-GLVC accolades after winning the 5,000 meters and finishing third in the 1,500 meters...finished second in the 5,000 meters at the Stanford Invitational and was fifth in the Elite Division of the 10,000 meters at the Mt. SAC Relays...earned GLVC Track Athlete of the Week honors after winning the 5,000 meters at the Washington Invitational and once again for his effort at the Mt. SAC Relays.

2009-10
CROSS COUNTRY:
Earned All-America honors after finishing 28th at the NCAA II National Championships with a season-best 10k time of 32:13.30...also earned All-Midwest Region honors with a ninth-place effort at the NCAA II Midwest Region Championships and All-GLVC honors with a fourth-place finish at the GLVC Championships...was USI's top finisher at the NCAA II National Championships as well as the NCAA II Midwest Region Championships...ran number two for the Eagles three times, including the GLVC Championships, and was USI's third finisher in another race...had a season-best 8k time of 25:24.00 at the GLVC Championships. INDOOR TRACK: Earned second-team All-GLVC honors after finishing second in both the 3,000 meters and the 5,000 meters at the GLVC Championships...was USI's top competitor in both the 3,000 and 5,000 meters...just missed an NCAA II provisional qualifying mark with his season-best time of 14:48.97 at the GVSU Big Meet...also competed in the mile and the distance medley relay. OUTDOOR TRACK: Earned second-team All-GLVC honors after finishing second in the 5,000 meters at the GLVC Championships...qualified for the NCAA II Championships in the 10,000 meters where he finished 12th...posted provisional qualifying times in both the 5,000 meters and the 10,000 meters...earned GLVC Track Athlete of the Week honors after running the 10,000 meters in 29:49.16 at the Mt. SAC Relays...was 10th in the 5,000 meters at the Hillsdale "Gina" Relays with a season-best time of 14:38.86.

2008-09
CROSS COUNTRY:
Earned GLVC Freshman of the Year and All-GLVC honors after finishing third at the GLVC Championships...was USI's top finisher at the conference meet, edging USI All-American Bryan Phillips by 1.04 seconds...was 24th at the NCAA II Midwest Region Championships and 94th at the NCAA II Championships...was USI's top finisher in four of USI's seven meets and ran top four or better for the Eagles in every meet. INDOOR TRACK: Earned GLVC Freshman of the Year honors and was named first-team All-GLVC after winning the 5,000 meters and placing third in the 3,000 meters at the GLVC Championships...competed in five meets, posting four top-five finishes. OUTDOOR TRACK: Finished 14th in the 10,000 meters at the NCAA II Championships...completed the sweep of GLVC Freshman of the Year awards when he earned the honor at the GLVC Championships by winning the 10,000 meters with a meet-record time of 31:12.34...also earned first-team All-GLVC honors for his performance at the conference meet...earned GLVC Track Athlete of the Week honors on two occasions, the most recent being for his performance at the Mt. SAC Relays where he set a USI freshman record by running the 10,000 meters in an NCAA II provisional qualifying time of 29 minutes, 57.41 seconds...he also reached a provisional qualifying mark in the 5,000 meters.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Elmwood High School (Elmwood, Illinois) where he earned seven varsity letters in cross country and track...was a three-time All-State competitor in cross country and a member of EHS's 2006 state championship team...finished third at the 2007 Illinois state meet and was fourth at the 2006 Illinois state meet...earned All-State in track as a senior in 2008 when he finished second at the state meet in the 3,200 meters...also earned All-State honors in track as a junior in 2007 when he finished fourth in the 3,200 meters.
