Biography

2011: Finished his career at USI's all-time leader in career wins (33), appearances (86), innings pitched (357), and strikeouts (246)...named first-team All-GLVC...earned first-team All-Midwest Region honors from the NCBWA and Daktronics...selected for the second-team All-Midwest Region by the ABCA...led USI with a 9-3 record...posted a career-best 2.83 ERA in 15 games and 117.2 innings of work...led the team with a career-high 76 strikeouts...struck out a career-high nine batters against Ft. Hays State University.

2010: Named honorable mention All-American by the NCBWA...named first-team All-Midwest Region by the ABCA, NCBWA, and Daktronics...named first-team All-GLVC...named to the NCAA II Midwest Regional All-Tournament team...became the first USI pitcher to reach double digits in wins in back-to-back seasons...tied the USI single-season record with a 12-1 record...had the best ERA of the USI starters at 3.05...set a USI season record with 112 innings pitched...broke the USI career appearance record as a junior (71)...finished the year one victory short of tying the USI career mark...led the team with 70 strike outs...struck out a career-high eight batters in the win over the University of Missouri-St. Louis...was named preseason All-American by the NCBWA.

2009: Named first-team All-GLVC and ABCA first-team All-Region...set the USI single-season record with 11 victories (three as a starter and eight as a reliever) and best winning percentage by going 11-0...tied a single season record with Shaun Larsen with 31 appearances...tied a career-best with six strike outs against Rockhurst University and the University of Indianapolis...pitched in 13.1 of USI's 36 innings in the NCAA II Midwest Regional earning the win against Northern Kentucky University.

2008: Made 28 appearances out of the bullpen in his first regular season...posted a 1-1 record with a 3.51 ERA in 33.1 innings of work...recorded his first collegiate save in the win over the University of Missouri-St. Louis...struck out a season-best six Quincy University batters.

2007: Redshirted.

HIGH SCHOOL: A three-sport letterwinner at Danville High School (Danville, Indiana), playing baseball, basketball, and football...named All-Metro as a senior in baseball...also named All-Conference in baseball, basketball, and football in 2005-06...helped DHS to the conference championships in baseball during 2004 and 2005...member of the 2006 DHS sectional championship team and the 2006 conference championship in football.

PERSONAL: Born April 3, 1988...son of Doug and Jan Leach.
