EAST LANSING, Mich.—Seniors
Ellie Hall and
Sierra Parks raced to respective finishes of 35th and 62nd to lead University of Southern Indiana Women's Cross Country to a seventh-place showing at the 24-team Michigan State Spartan Invite Friday morning.
Hall finished the six-kilometer course in 21 minutes, 56.7 seconds, while Parks posted a time of 22:30.3. As a team, the Screaming Eagles finished with 230 points.
Junior
Cordelia Hoover was 65th in the 283-competitor field with a time of 22:33.7, while freshman
Maddie Graber and sophomore
Lilyanna Blais finished 75th and 87th, respectively, to fill out the Screaming Eagles' top five.
Senior
Zoe Seward and freshman
Kara Odum rounded out USI's scorers with respective placements of 89th and 90th.
The Screaming Eagles are back in action next Friday when they send a contingent of runners to compete at the Ohio Valley Conference Preview meet in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. The women's 6k is scheduled for a 6 p.m. start, while the men's 8k is set to begin at 6:35 p.m.
