EVANSVILLE, Ind. - University of Southern Indiana Men's Soccer is set to open the 2026 season on the road in Wisconsin against the University of Milwaukee on Thursday at 5 p.m.

Thursday's match will be available with a subscription to ESPN+. Live Stats will be available at usiscreamingeagles.com, and in-game updates will also be available on X.

The 2026 men's soccer campaign will start with USI playing Milwaukee (Aug. 20) and Northern Kentucky University (Aug. 24) on the road before coming home to Strassweg Field on September 2 to play Indiana University Indianapolis.

The Screaming Eagles and Panthers will meet for the first time in school history to open the 2026 men's soccer season.

USI comes off a 2-10-5 season where the Screaming Eagles finished seventh in the Ohio Valley Conference standings. The team was picked to finish eighth overall in the OVC preseason poll for the 2026 season.

Head Coach Mads Kaiser takes the helm in his first season with the Screaming Eagles. Before USI, Coach Kaiser was at Saint Francis University,  where he led the Red Wolves to a 22-16-11 record over his three seasons. Kaiser also coached two Northeast Conference goalkeepers of the year, a NEC defensive player of the year, and a NEC rookie of the year during his tenure at Saint Francis.

USI retained two of the three top goal scorers from the 2025 season. Sophomore midfielder Tony Murphy was tied with sophomore forward Edin Cvorovic, each with two goals apiece. The team also returns 2026 OVC Preseason Player to Watch, senior Garrett Morris.

Milwaukee is coming off a 4-7-8 season in 2025, where the team fell to Robert Morris University in the first round of the Horizon League Conference Tournament.
