EVANSVILLE, Ind. – University of Southern Indiana Baseball could not overcome six errors and lost game one of the series with Tennessee Tech University, 13-3, Friday evening at the USI Baseball Field. USI is 23-23 overall and 6-13 in the Ohio Valley Conference, while TTU goes to 17-30, 5-14 OVC.
The Screaming Eagles started slow, allowing eight runs on three hits and a pair of errors in the first inning. USI would go on to allow two more runs in the fourth and fifth innings to trail 10-0 before it got onto the scoreboard.

Jesse Velders. TTU pushed the lead to 10-1 in the fifth before USI scored its second run on a RBI-double by junior third baseman
Parker Martin.
The Golden Eagles scored three more in the sixth to lead 13-2 and would allow one more Screaming Eagle tally in the seventh before closing out the 13-3 final. Senior catcher
Micajah Wall crossed the plate with USI's final tally of the game, scoring on a fielder's choice by graduate rightfielder
Noah Foster.
On the bump, junior right-hander
Ryan Weller made through three innings before leaving with the loss. Weller (3-4) allowed eight runs, four earned, on eight hits and a walk in the three frames.
