WTEN loses two for the weekend

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.- University of Southern Indiana Women's Tennis records two losses for the weekend after dropping a close match at home to Saint Louis University (2-4) on Friday and on the road at Indiana University on Saturday afternoon (0-4).
 
Doubles vs. SLU:
The Screaming Eagles secured the doubles point Friday afternoon hosting the Billikens with wins on number one and two courts. Juniors Enna Krnjic and Anais Negrail in their first game as a pair this season were the first USI team to win their game (6-4). To clinch the doubles point, Antonia Ferrarini and Sofia Davidoff fought the SLU pair, adding their first win as a pair for the season (6-4).
 
Singles vs. SLU
Out of the five finished singles matches, USI secured one win but lost the other four. The lone singles win came from Krnjic in the four slot, for her second win of the season (3-6, 3-6). Davidoff kept her match on the singles two court close, going into extra points in the second set, but ultimately lost (3-6, 6-7 (6-7).
 
Doubles at IU
Heading down the road to IU, the Screaming Eagles took on the Hoosiers on Saturday afternoon at IU Tennis Center. IU took the doubles point after claiming wins over Davidoff and Ferrarini on court one and Rylie Wilkison and Claire Meyer on court three.
 
Singles at IU
The Hoosiers quickly clinched victory with three singles wins over Wilkison, Meyer, and Negrail. Krnjic, Davidoff, and Ferrarini all lost the first set of their singles matches, but were fighting back in the second set before leaving them unfinished.
